The abbreviations and numbers on your prescription may look daunting, so here's a quick breakdown:
OD: Right Eye
OS: Left Eye
SPH: Spherical correction describes the horizontal curve of your eye's lens.
CYL: Cylindrical correction fine tunes the vertical curve of an eye, or astigmatism.
AXIS: The degree/direction of astigmatism.
PRISM: treats muscular imbalance or other conditions causing errors in eye orientation (i.e. double-vision). We are able to accurately make lenses with prism correction using our patented photo measurement system.
The opticians, stylists, and lab technicians at David Kind are seasoned professionals. All you need to do is provide us with a copy of your Rx and we will take care of the rest!
