What do the numbers on my Rx mean?

The abbreviations and numbers on your prescription may look daunting, so here's a quick breakdown:

OD: Right Eye

OS: Left Eye

SPH: Spherical correction describes the horizontal curve of your eye's lens.

CYL: Cylindrical correction fine tunes the vertical curve of an eye, or astigmatism.

AXIS: The degree/direction of astigmatism.

PRISM: treats muscular imbalance or other conditions causing errors in eye orientation (i.e. double-vision). We are able to accurately make lenses with prism correction using our patented photo measurement system
